随着全球化的趋势的到来，不知不觉，中国也陷入其中，政治书上说这个是必然，是一种趋势；经济学家说，这个是为了发展经济，反正这个不是人能改变的，所以我就不说什么了。但是，全球化仅仅是指经济的全球化么？我不是很清楚，但是至少现实不是这样，英语作为一种交流工具似乎也在全球化了！ 首先我们不得不承认学习英语的必要性，毕竟世界上的经济强国都把它当作工具，而中国要面向世界发展经济，英语这个交流工具自然是不可或缺的，但是我们来看看中国英语普及现状：据我个人了解，现在中国绝大部分地区，都是从小学开始普及英语的，而且是每个人都要学的，一直到中学，大学，英语都是必修课，可见政府对此的投入之大，除了学生，其他社会人士也学习英语，这个我就没有什么理由发表见解了，因为我是学生还不清楚，但是至少，社会英语是一种现实的需要，而学生时代呢？ 中学阶段，英语在这种应试教育制度之下成为主课，于是学生们花费大量的时间去学习英语，事实上收效甚微，但是为了能进大学，没有选择，尤其是好的大学，要求更是高，所以面带英语中学生们开始头疼但是咬牙坚持下来了。 大学呢？原本想大学会轻松一些，不再要求学习一些不愿意学习的大学，在我看来，中国教育最大的失败就在于灌输性的，学生没有选择的余地，直到大学才有些改观，然而，竟然可以不学汉语在大学里，但是英语是必修，而且制定了相应的应试和过级制度，于是又有许多仁人志士在这场战役中牺牲，实在可悲可叹！ 难道在面对全球化就要求每个人都要学好英语么？难道只有懂英语才是人才么？难道说英语不过级就没有资格拿到大学毕业证么？ 再来谈谈政府的投入和收益：政府为了普及英语，要花费了多少人力物力财力，而收益了，又培养了多少真正的英语人才呢？很多时候，在一些不需要英语能力的领域和工作的岗位的人，也许每个人都是英语过级的，但是他们的英语对于他们有多大的用处呢？ 同时我们这些学生很多时候被逼着学英语，真的很难受，但是为了毕业，为了所谓的将来，有的时候真是可谓不择手段，我真的怀疑：中国这种普及英语的模式真的很有意义么？或者英语根本就没有必要来人人普及？

Many of the services needed both by industry and by each of us are provided by the Government or by local authorities. Without hospitals, roads, electricity, telephones, railways, this country could not these require continuous spending on new equipment and new development if they are to serve us properly, requiring more money than is raised through taxes alone. The government,local authorities, and nationalized industries therefore frequently needed to borrow money to finance major capital spending,and they,too,come to The Stock Exchange. There is hardly a man or woman in this country whose job or whose standard of living does not depend on the ability of his or her emplorers to raise money to finance new development. In one way or another this new money must come from the savings of the country. The Stock Exchange exists to provide a channel through which these savings can reach those who need finance.
